This limited-edition collection of three incredibly rare 21-year-old Single Casks represents a meeting of the natural world and some of the finest Irish whiskey craftsmanship, featuring some of the oldest distilleries on the island of Ireland.

A 21-year-old Cooley Double Distilled Single Malt, aged 17 years in ex-Bourbon, finished for 4 years in ex-Rum casks. Like the goldfinch bird, this whiskey is a burst of color and brilliance, rounding out the series in spectacular fashion.
The Irish Native Bird Series has been exclusively bottled for the Friends of Irish Whiskey community, who inspire and nurture a great celebration of Irish craftsmanship and mother nature, with each release telling a story as rare and beautiful as the birds they represent. Ireland once had a rich history of cask bonding. A key lifeblood to the industry, where many towns and cities across the country had family ran businesses, big and small operating as bonders, grocers and merchants. Purchasing directly from established distilleries, the casks were left to mature before its subsequent bottling under the respective owner’s own label.
With the demise of the Irish whiskey industry in the early 20th century, only a handful of these great brands have survived to this day, and with it, the light that shines on this tradition was nearly extinguished for good.
