The Humours of Whiskey is the inaugural release in The Artist Collection, a collaboration between Two Stacks Irish Whiskey and acclaimed Irish artist Jack Coulter. Inspired by Jack's synaesthesia, his ability to experience music as colour, this limited edition celebrates the harmony between painting, music and whiskey, with each discipline shaped by patience, instinct and creativity.
The Collector's Pair is for those who understand the dilemma of a 300-bottle release: open it, or keep it. This is both answers. Two bottles, each carrying Jack's original artwork on the label and presented in its own collector's box with a signed print inside - one sealed for the shelf, one poured for the moment.
The Art of the Blend
At its heart lies one of the most complex and luxurious blends we've ever assembled, marrying some of Ireland's oldest and rarest casks:
- 1991 Single Malt (ex Bourbon)
- 2002 Single Grain (ex Passito di Pantelleria)
- 2016 Single Pot Still (ex Mandorla)
Each cask contributes its own voice, creating a whiskey that is both vibrant and deeply layered. Bottled at 50% ABV.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with an explosion of tropical fruit, ripe mango, pineapple and juicy peach, before giving way to crisp orchard apples, poached pear and delicate blossom honey. On the palate, the whiskey is remarkably expressive, sweet, bright and wonderfully mouth-coating, with waves of caramelised apple, vanilla fudge, apricot preserves and candied citrus, while the mature grain whiskey lends remarkable elegance and silkiness. The finish is long, warming and beautifully balanced, with lingering notes of baked orchard fruit, toasted oak, soft spice and tropical sweetness that seem to last indefinitely.
A Collector's Release
Limited to 300 bottles worldwide, The Artist Collection - Vol. 1 is much more than a whiskey. It is a celebration of contemporary Irish creativity, released as the historic Fleadh Cheoil arrives in Belfast, August 2026. Every purchase of the Collector's Pair carries three entries into the draw to own the original Jack Coulter canvas painted live at the session (terms apply).

Ireland once had a rich history of cask bonding. A key lifeblood to the industry, where many towns and cities across the country had family ran businesses, big and small operating as bonders, grocers and merchants. Purchasing directly from established distilleries, the casks were left to mature before its subsequent bottling under the respective owner’s own label.
With the demise of the Irish whiskey industry in the early 20th century, only a handful of these great brands have survived to this day, and with it, the light that shines on this tradition was nearly extinguished for good.
